Learning Objective Two

Demonstrate safety and judgement in clinical reasoning within hippotherapy and therapeutic riding sessions

 

 

2a. Discuss what to look for in sessions to mark improvement / what outcome measures are used with therapy staff

 

2b. Research qualifications/ training to be able to be a provider of hippotherapy and therapeutic riding

 

2c. Observe and discuss safety aspects of all involved (horse, client, instructor, volunteers)

 

2d. During observation of sessions, taking initiative to successful set up and take safety precautions for all involved

 

2e. Become formally trained in side walking and leading horse to gain skills and knowledge about safety prior to learning hippotherapy techniques with Kathy Castillo

 

2f. Complete online meeting to explain to others the process of becoming hippotherapy certified, from my perspective as a student
