On the Sensory Trail Implementation:

Emily's research, planning, and assessment of the current state of the Sensory trail jump started this project moving forward. She carefully planned therapeutic activities that would benefit all of our services, and also collaborated with our OTs and PTs to incorporate their input. Emily coordinated and led meetings with program and fundraising staff in order to assess how to move forward with updating the trail. Emily's detail-oriented plan provided concrete written and visual examples that we presented to donors. Because of her work, we were able to secure over our original fundraising ask, and have moved forward with making all updates and changes. I cannot emphasize enough how Emily's support and initiative are what made this project move forward, as this project had been stalled for two years. -Lauren Frosch, Chief Program Resource Officer

Emily also took on revamping our sensory trail which was in dire need of additional sensory activities as well as an overhaul as far as cleaning and painting. We now have a fully usable, fun, and varied sensory trail that will greatly enhance the therapy that our clients engage in. This is an area that we have been trying to improve on over the last several years and Emily was able to research and find activities, break down the cost and develop a budget, organize a group of volunteers, and complete the project within a couple of months. We are very grateful for all of her assistance in moving these large and necessary projects forward that will bring lots of added value to the services we offer! -Amy Willard, Program Director and Site Mentor

On the Living Classroom:

Emily's assistance with research into all aspects of creating a living class room has been invaluable. As a small non-profit with limited staffing, she was able to advance this project which already has some donated dollars towards it but several months. She saved our organization a great deal of time as well as her research was very in depth and well organized in how it was presented. She helped simplify the next steps and the cost breakdown, allowing for an easy and brief discussion about the next step in this exciting process. -Amy Willard, Program Director and Site Mentor
